The mission of FineLobster.com is to offer you, the customer, the finest fresh lobster available anywhere. Our specialty is delivering the freshest gourmet seafood directly to your door, making it easy for you to enjoy the delectable taste of fresh lobster at any time.

FineLobster .com’s President is Rebecca Gareis Bent. Her passion for foods – lobster in particular and seafood in general – led her to start FineLobster.com to make “fine lobster” readily available online to customers nationwide. A Baltimore native, Rebecca is an entrepreneur, cooking and marketing specialist, and professional photographer. She is also the founder of Rebecca Bent, LLC, and the author of two cookbooks: Burgers and Down at the Shore. The company and Rebecca’s cookbooks have been covered extensively in the media by Forbes magazine, the New York Sun, BusinessWire, Glamour magazine, USA Today, MSN, Star magazine, Variety magazine, the Chicago Sun Times, Baltimore Sun, and Gotham magazine, to name a few. Though currently a resident of Manhattan, Rebecca spends her weekends on the Chesapeake Bay.

In forming FineLobster .com, Rebecca partnered with experienced online entrepreneurs Greg and Matt Cain, founders of CrabPlace.com. Both grew up in Crisfield, Maryland – “The Seafood Capitol of the World” – and both have worked on or around the water since they were children. The brothers have been selling seafood online since 1997 and were the first entrepreneurs to sell Maryland blue crab via the Internet. As a result, their company, CrabPlace.com, received the Maryland Small Business Association’s Entrepreneurial Success of the Year award in 2001. Rebecca Gareis Bent joined CrabPlace.com as a partner in 2005. Her role in product development resulted in CrabPlace.com’s recognition as having “the best crab cake online” in Kiplinger’s Personal Finance Magazine “Best of the Best Edition” in November 2006. She currently serves as Vice President of Business Development and Marketing.

With the launch of FineLobster .com, Rebecca, Greg, and Matt have taken their online expertise and knowledge of fine seafood into the gourmet lobster trade. Like Rebecca, the Cains enjoy sharing the delights of lobster and other seafood with the nation and the world. The three agree that a gift of fine lobster means giving the very best.
